Vice-president until 2009 and currently supervisor, “Italian Professional Association of Dance Movement Therapists”.Supervisor of the Spanish Association of DMT. President “Associazione di Movimento Creativo” (Italy). Lecturer on Masters in Dance Movement Therapy, Autonomous University of Barcelona, since 2005. 

Co-author of the book “Movimiento creativo y danza, metodo Garcia-Plevin”, co-editor of “Modelos y prácticas de DMT en la realidad italiana” and autor of numerous publications in books and journals.

María Elena has worked for many years in psychiatric institutions and now in private practice.

She has studied Authentic Movement (1991 – 1999) with Janet Adler and facilitates Authentic Movement groups in Italy and Spain.
